Finale: PTNG - Animation Begins Tomorrow

Posted by swiftstylerX - July 14th, 2008

Tomorrow, technically today but when I wake up in a few hours, I will be starting the animation process of Finale: Pathway Through Newgrounds, part 1. Since this flash is going to be 15 minutes long, just for the first half, I will need to put in quite a few hours a day to actually finish on time. I plan on making it very high quality, and I also want the sound quality to be very high, so it MIGHT have to be released in two parts, just for the first half. Which would mean 4 parts in total for the entire 30 minute epic.

The script is not complete, and is nowhere even near finished, but since the intro alone is going to be about 3 minutes long, I'll still have time now and then to keep working at the script. I made sure I've perfected the intro's script, because this is going to be a very detailed flash, with lots of little things happening a lot of the time.

So hopefully I'll get a few minutes a day to work on the script a bit, just to make sure the script-to-animation ratio is well balanced. The script has to be extremely detailed though, just because so much stuff is going to be going on all the time. I plan to make this one more epic, and not as fast-ending as the first two have been. The first two never seemed to lay out the storyline until about halfway through the flashes, so I want to fix every problem I've had with them, for this.

So I just wanted everyone to know that this flash IS being made, and that I'll start posting screenies sometime in early August. And if any collab leaders from NGC see this, do not worry. I'm still finishing my parts for the collabs, and everything I have to do will be scheduled accordingly.

Talk to you guys again in another two weeks.

Agree'd.

Youre not making a 30 minute flash cartoon. I'd bet ALL MY WORLDLY POSSESSIONS ON IT.

Be prepared to lose all of your wordly possessions then, because it's happening. I have over a year to finish the full 30 minutes of animation, so I don't see what the problem is, considering the first two episodes were about 18 minutes long when you add them together, and they only took about two-three weeks each to actually animate them completely.

The only reason they took months to finish was because voices were taking a long time to be sent, and because I would get lazy at points. The biggest reason the first episode took an entire year to finish was because my computer died and I couldn't finish all of my scenes in time, so I waited until the next summer.

Believe me, it's been done before by A LOT of members, and in less time than I have. I'm going to finish it, and I have lots of help to make it easier. I have 14 months to finish. That's just two minute of animation a month, and I'll probably animate a good 8-10 minutes of it this summer.

Not to mention after the summer, I'm going to be animating BOTH parts, so I'll have some of the second part finished so I won't have as much to finish before Madness Day next year.

Just trust me, it's going to happen. I've planned this for way too long and I've made way too many promises to NOT do it.

Cool, it seems to be a more common theme nowadays to release longer animations and split them into parts. For example, the Castle series, the newest Super Parody Rangers coming out soon (it's going to be like over an hour too), and so on. Hope it works out for you!

so you're the sexy guy?

Yes, yes I am.

Newgrounds doesnt measure how much you're worth with the money won on the site, that comment of yours in your batman collab thread was pretty unecesary and sounded a bit arrogant IMO ;)

That was just to prove I was able to run the collab well, not to brag or anything. Don't over analyze things.
